Kids Size Calculator
Enter your child’s details to find the right clothing size.
Sizes are general guides. Check the size chart on each product page, because brands and fabrics vary.
How the Calculator Works
Children grow at different speeds, so age alone is not a reliable guide. This calculator compares your child’s height, and weight if you add it, with standard US kids’ sizes from newborn to 12 years. If the two measurements point to different sizes, it chooses the larger one, so the clothes are not too tight.
How to Measure Your Child
1. Height
Stand your child barefoot against a wall and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
2. Weight
Use a home scale. Weigh yourself, then weigh yourself holding your child, and subtract.
3. Compare
Enter the numbers above. Between sizes? Choose the larger size, because kids grow quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if my child is between two sizes?
Size up. A slightly roomy fit lasts longer and is more comfortable.
Should I go by age or height?
Height and weight are more reliable than age. Age is only a rough guide.
How often should I re-measure?
Every three months for babies and toddlers, and every four to six months for older children.
